Fleur-De-Lis Embroidery is the evolution of Jeepgirl Designs Embroidery. The business started out four years ago, out of frustration, when Josee and her husband Raymond travelled to Military Vehicle Preservation Association (MVPA) conventions, where no vendors offered shirts or other mementos for women or children. There was a need, so they invested in an embroidery machine and Josee began designing out of her home. Family and friends spread the word of this burgeoning enterprise and some local businesses and sport booster clubs hired Jeepgirl Designs to do their embroidery. Josee was stitching part time as she was an adult education instructor and student advisor until just recently.
“For years I had dreamed of having a store where I could create designs and showcase them in different forms but the opportunity was not there. Instead, I focused on my other passion, education, and I loved it. The offer to rent the storefront came unexpectedly. I was at a crossroad and decided to jump at the chance to live my dream and I am giddy with excitement. I changed the name of my business to Fleur-De-Lis to honor my heritage and to highlight this new chapter of my career.” Josee has a passion for design and for impeccable customer service. “I want people to love their purchases as well as their experience of shopping or ordering from me and no orders are too small.”
